Dr. Joachim O. Bauer
Dr. Joe Bauer graduated from St. Louis University School of Dental Medicine and then attended St. Louis University Department of Orthodontics where he earned his specialty degree in Orthodontics. Following graduation Dr. Bauer became a Board Certified Specialist in Orthodontics in both Illinois and Missouri.
Dr. Bauer is on the teaching faculty at St. Louis University Department of Orthodontics where he has received the "Outstanding Instructor of the Year" award in 1992, 1993 and 2001. He also has been in the exclusive practice of Orthodontics in the Granite City and Edwardsville-Glen Carbon communities for over 25 years.
Dr. Joe Bauer is a member of the American Dental Association, the World Federation of Orthodontists, the Illinois State Dental Society and is a member of the Madison County District Dental Society. He is also a member of the American Association of Orthodontists, the Illinois State Society of Orthodontics and the Orthodontic Education and Research Foundation. Dr. Bauer is a Diplomate of the American Board of Orthodontics, and has been inducted into the American College of Dentists. Dr. Bauer has also received a Certificate of Achievement from the Roth/Williams Center for Functional Occlusion for his successful completion of the Continuing Clinical Program in Occlusion and Orthodontics and has served as an instructor for the center for two years.
Dr. Bauer resides in Glen Carbon with his wife, Anida. They enjoy family activities with their four children including boating, water skiing and travel.
Dr. Matthew Bauer
Dr. Matt Bauer is a 2003 graduate of Southern Illinois School of Dental Medicine. He then completed his 30-month residency program in Orthodontics at St. Louis University Center for Advanced Dental Education in December, 2005. Dr. Matt joined his father in practice in January of 2006. He is an excellent clinician and a warm, caring individual.
Dr. Matt Bauer is a member of the American Dental Association, the Illinois State Dental Society, the Madison County District Dental Society, the American Association of Orthodontists, the Illinois State Society of Orthodontics and the Orthodontic Education and Research Foundation. He has also completed the Roth/Williams Center for Advanced Orthodontic Education course in functional occlusion. Since that time he has also become a member of the Roth Williams International Society of Orthodontics. Dr. Matt is also a Diplomate, American Board of Orthodontists.
Matt resides in Edwardsville and is looking forward to his marriage to his fiancee, Kate. He enjoys golfing, reading, and playing with his Bernese Mountain Dog, Otto.
Elizabeth Hite
Dr. Elizabeth Hite is a 2005 graduate of Southern Illinois University School of Dental Medicine. She completed her Master’s degree in Orthodontics at the Center for Advanced Dental Education at St. Louis University in December 2007 and went on to join her father and brother at Bauer Orthodontic Specialists. Dr. Hite continues to further her advanced education in Orthodontics, as she is currently enrolled in the Roth/Williams Center for Functional Occlusion, commencing in 2010. Not only is Dr. Hite committed to clinical excellence, but she strives to create a warm and caring environment for her patients each and every day.
Dr. Elizabeth Hite is a member of the American Association of Orthodontists, the American Dental Association, the Illinois Dental Society, the Madison County District Dental Society, the Illinois State Society of Orthodontics, the Orthodontic Education and Research Foundation and is a certified member of the American Board of Orthodontics.
Dr. Beth resides in Maryville with her husband Dr. Ben Hite and their puppy Dexter. She enjoys golfing, biking, and spending time with friends and family. |
